Dr Andrew Dickson
Andrew is the Founder, Chief Executive and Technical Officer of InfraPrint.
Andrew has a BE degree in Biomedical Engineering, and achieved his PhD with his thesis “Fabrication of Continuous Fibre Reinforced Thermoplastic Composites using Advanced Additive Manufacturing Processing Techniques” at University College Dublin.
Andrew is an expert in additive manufacturing processes for manufacturing of polymer and composite materials, with several patents and numerous publications in his name. He has been involved in a wide range of industry focussed projects, with 3Dprinting (AM) being at the core of his interest and focus, all of which led to the formation of Infraprint.
Andrew has a particular interest and knowledge surrounding advanced polymer materials, fibre reinforced composites and materials testing.
Prof. Denis Dowling
Denis is co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer at Infraprint.
Denis leads UCD's participation in the European Institute of Innovation and Technology in manufacturing as well as being the director of the 20+ million Euro I-Form Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre established in November 2017. This research focus is on materials processing (particularly additive manufacturing), as well as the integration of digital technologies into the manufacturing environment.
Denis’s research incorporates the related areas of additive manufacturing and surface engineering. He has over 220 peer reviewed publications in surface engineering and additive manufacturing. The latter research includes the processing of polymers, composites and metal alloys.
To-date 20 PhD and 7 MSc research students have completed their studies under his supervision.
Steve Gore
Steve is the Chief Financial Officer at Infraprint.
Specialising in CFO and Non-Exec Director support for IT, tech, and service businesses, Steve has over 20 years of experience working for UK businesses and International Groups.
After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with Deloitte, Steve completed a turnaround with Europe’s largest yacht broker and then moved into the technology sector. Steve was the UK FD for a listed European Group and then started a company from scratch and grew it to £55m turnover.
Since exiting this business on sale, Steve has worked for numerous businesses, ranging from start-ups to high growth businesses particularly within the SME space.
Kieran Gibbons
R&D Project Engineer
Kieran has a masters degree in mechanical engineering from University College Dublin, where he specialised in the manufacturing of tooling and moulds via additive manufacturing.
Kieran has experience in medical device and tool manufacturing, design for additive manufacturing [DFaM], CAD/CAM and polymer materials testing (mechanical and chemical). Kieran has worked with Infraprint in commercialising its product and developing our hardware offerings.
